START WITH THE ATHLETE

WHAT IS YOUR ATHLETE WORKING THROUGH RIGHT NOW?

Families usually do not need another generic program. They need help with the specific thing their athlete is navigating right now.

01

Confidence

They look different after a mistake, a bad stretch, or a tough game and need tools to reset and keep competing.

02

Direction

They work hard, but they are not always sure what deserves their attention or how to turn effort into a better plan.

03

Accountability

They know what they should do, but consistency slips when nobody is checking in, following up, or helping them own the process.

04

Pressure & Adversity

Playing time, injuries, tryouts, expectations, setbacks, and role changes can be difficult to navigate alone.

05

Basketball Development

Film, skill work, basketball IQ, routines, preparation, and decision-making all improve when the athlete has a clearer focus.

06

The Next Level

They want to understand what higher-level basketball actually requires and what they can start doing now to prepare for it.

WHY MENTORSHIP

A MENTOR OCCUPIES A DIFFERENT SPACE.

Core3 is not trying to replace a parent, trainer, or team coach. The value is adding a trusted voice who can understand the athlete, stay close to the process, and speak from experience.

PARENTS

Care Deeply

Parents know their athlete better than anyone, but some conversations land differently when they come from someone outside the family.

COACHES

Develop the Team

Team coaches have an entire roster, practices, games, roles, and results to manage. Their job cannot always center on one athlete's full development picture.

CORE3 MENTOR

Stay With the Athlete

A Core3 mentor can focus on the individual: confidence, habits, basketball decisions, adversity, accountability, goals, and the questions that come up between games and practices.

INTENTIONAL MATCHING

WE DO NOT ASK FAMILIES TO PICK FROM A LIST.

Core3 starts by learning about the athlete. Then we assign the mentor we believe fits the athlete's personality, current needs, goals, basketball situation, and the mentor's ability to serve them well.

Request an Initial Call
01Tell us about the athlete. Goals, challenges, level, personality, and what the family is hoping to solve.
02Meet with Core3. We explain the full program, learn more, answer questions, and determine fit.
03Core3 makes the match. Mentor assignment is based on fit, not popularity or a dropdown menu.

THE CORE3 SYSTEM

FROM GOAL TO ONGOING DEVELOPMENT.

Every month builds from what Core3 already knows about the athlete. The plan changes as the athlete changes.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Learn the Athlete

Goals, strengths, weaknesses, habits, schedule, confidence, mindset, and current basketball needs.

02 / PRIORITIZE

Choose the Focus

Identify the few priorities that can move the athlete forward instead of trying to fix everything at once.

03 / BUILD

Create the Plan

Skill work, film assignments, routines, challenges, or practical resources built for that athlete.

04 / SUPPORT

Stay Connected

Calls, communication, accountability, feedback, questions, and real-time guidance throughout the month.

05 / REVIEW

Track and Adjust

Monthly development review, updated priorities, and a clear direction for the next month.

INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE

DEVELOPMENT THAT CONTINUES BETWEEN EVERY CONVERSATION.

The two mentor calls are important checkpoints. The rest of the month is where Core3 helps athletes put the conversation into action.

CALL ONE

Communication and Accountability

Athletes can send updates, ask questions, report their work, receive reminders, and get guidance when something comes up.

AS NEEDED

Personalized Resources

Weekly skill schedules, shooting routines, film assignments, nutrition habit guidance, daily routines, and other tools based on the athlete's current needs.

CALL TWO

Review, Coach, and Adjust

The conversation picks up from the last one. Progress is reviewed, current problems are coached, and the plan changes when needed.

MONTH END

Monthly Development Review

Families receive a clear review of development themes, on-court progress, mindset, character, current trajectory, and what Core3 will emphasize next.

Core3 athlete reporting training progress and goals

Accountability

Athletes report the work, share goals, and learn to take more ownership of their development.

BEYOND THE GAME

THE PLAYER IS ONLY PART OF THE DEVELOPMENT.

Core3 helps athletes develop the mindset, habits, character, and communication skills that affect how they perform on the court and how they carry themselves everywhere else.

01

MENTAL PERFORMANCE

We help athletes build tools for the moments when basketball gets difficult, emotional, or uncertain.

Confidence · Self Talk · Pressure · Focus · Emotional Control · Staying Present
02

Accountability · Coachability · Ownership · Work Ethic · Preparation · Communication
03

HABITS & ROUTINES

We help athletes turn good intentions into repeatable daily behaviors they can actually follow.

Sleep · Nutrition Habits · Recovery · Scheduling · Consistency · Preparation
04

LIFE & RELATIONSHIPS

Coaches · Teammates · Parents · Decisions · Setbacks · Responsibility
HOW WE ACTUALLY WORK ON IT

BUILT INTO THE MENTORSHIP.

This is not a generic promise about “building character.” These areas show up in the actual work Core3 does with each athlete.

01Mental performance lessons inside mentorship calls
02Character lessons and reflection exercises
03Personalized habits and routines
04Accountability and follow-up between calls
05Conversations around confidence, adversity, communication, and decisions
06Monthly reviews that track growth beyond basketball
THE BIGGER GOAL The goal is not only a better basketball player. It is a more confident, disciplined, accountable young person who is better prepared for whatever comes next.

REAL RELATIONSHIPS

THE ATHLETE SHOULD KNOW THEIR MENTOR IS IN THEIR CORNER.

Core3 is built around trust. Our mentors coach in truth, hold athletes to a standard, and also work to become someone the athlete can rely on when basketball or life becomes difficult.

“Could not imagine better mentors or big brothers.”
Cory Fosdyck, Core3 Parent

WHO MENTORSHIP IS FOR

A GOOD FIT MATTERS.

Core3 works best when the athlete is willing to communicate, receive coaching, and take responsibility for the work.

01
They care about improving and want clearer direction.
02
They would benefit from accountability outside of a parent or team coach.
03
They are navigating confidence, pressure, habits, a role, adversity, or another development challenge.
04
They are willing to communicate honestly and follow through between calls.
05
The family values long-term development over quick fixes.

FAQ

QUESTIONS PARENTS ASK.

How is Core3 different from a trainer or team coach?+

Core3 is designed to complement training and team coaching. We focus on the full development picture: individual goals, accountability, mindset, character, film, routines, decision-making, and the relationship with a mentor who stays involved over time.

What happens during a mentor call?+

Calls include a personal check in, follow up from the previous conversation, current basketball development, mental performance, character development, and whatever challenge or decision is most relevant to the athlete at that time.

What happens between calls?+

Athletes can communicate with their mentor, report progress, ask questions, receive film feedback or resources when appropriate, and stay accountable to the goals they set.

Does every athlete receive the same plan?+

No. Core3 uses a consistent development process, but the content is personalized. One athlete may need a shooting routine while another needs film study, confidence work, nutrition habits, or a better weekly structure.

What do parents receive?+

Parents receive a monthly development review that summarizes current themes, progress, mindset and character work, on-court development, and the direction moving forward.

What if we want guidance without full mentorship?+

Core3 Coaching Calls offer focused 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions without enrollment in the full monthly development system.
